    I never had a dog myself. However, I have played with dogs of other people. Dogs are sure fun, friendly and entertaining. It was nice playing with a dog without the hassles of having to feed it, wash it and take care of it.

    However, it's possible to say that some dogs actually serve no useful purpose. It just depends what the opinion of people is. "How to take care of dog" is really not an essential part of education, probably. For some people, dogs are fun. For some people, dogs are not fun.
